Generals highway, quiet at daybreak.
Sights unseen around each bend.
The Kaweah river gleams, rushing through the canyons it has carved for itself.
Inspiration steams from my eyes.
With every step I admire my surroundings, searching for the best route into the backcountry.
Giant Seqouia trees growing freely amongst their kin,
Breathing in the silent sunlight.
They speak deeply of the wild generations.
The seasons cycling through countless centuries, and in peace!!!
Even fire cannot disturb the ultimate serenity found in this range of mountains or in any other.
In fact, forest fires play a vital role in a sustainable forest habitat.
Greater life and new growth come from the nutrients of the plant life that have died.
Without fire, these nutrients would not be released back into the ground.
We can learn so much about the history and future of our planet by opening ourselves up to nature, and the ways in which life supports other life.
Life sings in the noble forest.
A choir of choirs in vivid harmony.
